Julian's face turned pale, his fists clenching tight at his sides as he stared at the woman he almost married.

Victoria: Detective Barnes? Why is the police department involved in this?!
Evelyn: Because five minutes ago, the district attorney signed an emergency warrant for your arrest for child endangerment, grand larceny, and corporate forgery.
The heavy oak front doors swung open again. Two uniformed police officers stepped inside the bright hall, followed by a tall detective holding a leather clipboard.

Victoria: This is private property! You can't enter without permission!
