Evelyn: Step away from my daughter right now!
Victoria: Evelyn? What are you doing in this house?
Evelyn: I said step back!
Evelyn closed the distance between them in three long strides, her hands trembling with pure fury.
Victoria: You can't just burst into my engagement party and yell at me—
Before Victoria could finish her sentence, Evelyn brought her right hand around and delivered a hard, stinging slap directly across Victoria's face.
The sharp impact echoed through the high-ceilinged room like a gunshot. Victoria reeled back, clutching her reddened cheek in total shock and embarrassment.
Victoria: HOW DARE YOU!
Evelyn: That was for putting your filthy hands on Maya!
Victoria: You crazy, low-class woman! Julian, call security!
Julian: Wait, Victoria, let's calm down for a second—
Evelyn: Don't tell me to calm down!
Evelyn didn't wait another second. She stepped in closer and delivered a second, even harder slap that caught Victoria right on the cheekbone, sending her stumbling backward until her shoulder slammed against a white marble pillar.
The crowd of high-society guests gasped loudly, pulling out their phones to record the chaos unfolding on the polished floor.
Victoria: My cheek... you broke my face!
Evelyn: If you ever look at my child again, I'll do much worse than slap you!
Across the hall, Arthur held the crying little girl tightly against his chest, shielding her from the commotion.
Maya: MOMMY!
The little girl pointed at Evelyn, a tearful, relieved smile spreading across her small face.
Evelyn: Mommy's here, baby. Nobody is ever going to hurt you again.
Evelyn turned back to Victoria, who was cowering against the marble pillar while holding her swollen cheek.
Evelyn: GET OUT OF THIS HOUSE NOW!
Victoria: Julian, tell her! Tell her this is my house now!
Julian: Evelyn... please, what is going on here? Why did Maya say Victoria hurt her?
Evelyn: Ask your precious fiancée where she took my daughter yesterday afternoon when you were at the office!
Julian: Victoria... what is she talking about?
Victoria: She's making up stories, Julian! I was at the salon all afternoon!
Arthur: No, she wasn't. The front gate security camera logged her car leaving at two o'clock with Maya in the back seat.
Victoria: That... that was just a mistake!
Evelyn: A mistake? Locking a four-year-old child in a dark basement room for three hours is a mistake?!
The entire hall erupted in loud whispers as guests looked at Victoria with disgust and disbelief.
