Groom: Police?! You can't call the police for a conversation in a private room!
Sarah's Father: Wire fraud and conspiracy to commit grand larceny are federal offenses, Brandon.
Groom: I didn't steal anything! Not a single dollar has moved yet!
Bride: Because my niece stopped you before you could sign the marriage license!
Lily held the camcorder steady, her eyes wide as she looked at her aunt.
Lily: Aunt Sarah, the lady in the green dress is sitting in the third row right now.
Every head in the church turned toward the third row on the groom's side, where a woman in a green satin dress was trying to slide out of her pew.
Bride: Jessica? You... you were in on this too?
Jessica: Sarah, I swear I didn't know he was planning to do anything illegal!
Lily: She lied. On the tape, she said she booked the plane tickets to Miami for next week.
Jessica: You quiet little monster!
Sarah's Father: Sit down, Jessica! Security, hold her right where she is!
Two more hotel security officers moved quickly down the side aisle, blocking Jessica from reaching the back doors of the chapel.
Jessica: Let go of me! I'm just a wedding guest!
Groom: Jessica, keep your mouth shut! Don't say another word!
Bride: It's too late, Brandon. The whole world is going to hear this tape.
Sarah took the small camcorder from Lily's hands, looking down at the digital screen showing Brandon's face in high definition.
Bride: You thought you were so clever, didn't you? You targeted my family because you thought I was naive.
Groom: Sarah, please... we can talk about this in private! Think about our families!
Bride: My family is standing right here behind me. Yours is nowhere to be found.
Groom's Mother: Brandon... tell me this isn't true. Tell me you didn't do this!
Brandon's mother stepped out from the front pew, her voice trembling as she looked at her son in utter disgrace.
Groom: Mom, stay out of this! They're setting me up!
Groom's Mother: Setting you up?! That is your own voice on that recording!
Groom: Mom, please!
Groom's Mother: I am so ashamed of you. I am so deeply ashamed.
She turned away, burying her face in her hands as her husband held her tightly by the shoulder.
Bride: Off-duty officer, please call the local precinct immediately.
Sarah's Father: The police are already on their way, Sarah. I called them the second I heard the word trust fund on that speaker.
