The Hidden Camcorder

The Camera That Caught The Killer Groom banner

Bride: Is that... is that your voice, Brandon?

Groom: Sarah, listen to me! That audio is fake! Someone manipulated it!

Bride: Fake? That audio is coming directly from my niece's camera!

Lily: He talked to a lady in the green dress behind the bridal suite fifteen minutes ago.

Groom: Shut up, you little brat!

Sarah's Father: Back away from my family right now, Brandon!

Sarah's father stepped forward from the front row, his face burning with rage as he stood between Brandon and Sarah.

Groom: Mr. Vance, please! This is a complete misunderstanding!

Sarah's Father: You called my seven-year-old granddaughter a brat on her aunt's wedding day?

Groom: She ruined our ceremony! She was spying on me!

Bride: She wasn't spying, Brandon. I asked her to film behind the scenes for our family album!

Sarah stood up slowly, her hands shaking as she pulled her long veil off her hair and dropped it to the floor.

Groom: Sarah, please! Don't do this over a child's toy!

Bride: A child's toy just saved my life from a monster.

Lily: Aunt Sarah, there is more on the tape. He talked about the bank accounts too.

Bride: Press play, Lily. Let everyone in this room hear every single word.

Groom: No! Turn that off!

Brandon tried to reach around Sarah's father, but two security guards stepped in, grabbing Brandon's arms tightly behind his dark tuxedo coat.

Security Guard: Stand still, sir. Don't make another move.

Groom: Get your hands off me! I am the groom!

Bride: You're not a groom anymore, Brandon. You're a target for my family's lawyers.

Lily pressed the playback button again, and the camera's small speaker amplified a second clear recording across the quiet church.

Recorded Voice: Her dad signed over the estate rights this morning. Once the vows are spoken, forty million dollars goes straight into my private offshore account.

The wedding guests gasped loudly, many standing up from their pews to point and stare at the groom.

Guest 1: Did he just say forty million dollars?!

Guest 2: He was planning to drain her family's trust fund!

Recorded Voice 2: What about your girlfriend in Chicago, Brandon?

Recorded Voice: She gets her share as soon as the divorce is finalized next year.

Sarah covered her mouth with both hands, tears finally streaming down her cheeks as she looked at the man she almost married.

Bride: You... you dirty liar. You never loved me at all.

Groom: Sarah, I was just talking big to impress my associates! None of that was real!

Bride: Save your pathetic excuses for the police, Brandon.
