The Security Arrival

Wealthy Woman Slaps Step-Son and Instantly Regrets It When Father Arrives banner

Evelyn: Richard! This is degrading! Look at me!

Richard: I am looking at you. And I'm seeing who you really are for the first time.

Evelyn: I made a mistake! Everyone makes mistakes! Can't we just go to marriage counseling?!

Richard: Counseling won't fix a cruel heart, Evelyn.

Two uniform security guards stepped through the front entrance, standing tall near the door.

Security Guard: Good evening, Mr. Sterling. You called for an escort?

Richard: Yes, Marcus. Please escort Miss Evelyn off the property premises immediately.

Evelyn: Don't touch me! Get your hands off me!

Security Guard: Ma'am, please step toward the exit peacefully, or we will have to call the local police department.

Evelyn: Richard, tell them to stop! You're letting security kick your wife out like trash?!

Richard: You treated my son like trash. I'm just returning the favor.

Evelyn: I will ruin you! I'll call the press! I'll tell every reporter in the city what kind of man you are!

Richard: Go right ahead. And I'll release the raw video footage of you hitting a motherless child. Let's see who the public supports.

Evelyn froze, her mouth opening to speak, but no sound came out. She knew the media would destroy her reputation instantly.

Security Guard: Your bags are outside, ma'am. A taxi is waiting at the main gate.

Evelyn: A taxi?! Where is the private chauffeur?!

Richard: You don't get luxury transport anymore. Walk down the driveway and take the cab.

Evelyn: You monster!

Richard: The only monster in this house was you.

The guards firmly guided Evelyn toward the grand front doors as she kicked and screamed, her heels dragging against the floor.

Evelyn: You'll regret this, Richard Sterling! You'll be lonely forever!

The heavy oak doors slammed shut behind her, cutting off her screeching voice entirely. The grand foyer fell into a peaceful, quiet calm.

Maria: She's finally gone, sir.

Richard: Yes. And she is never coming back.

Richard took a deep breath, running a hand through his hair as he felt the heavy weight lift off his shoulders.

Richard: How is Leo holding up?

Maria: He was scared, but I told him his daddy was handling everything.

Richard: I'm going up to talk to him right now.

Richard walked slowly up the stairs, heading down the long hallway toward his son's bedroom at the end of the hall.

He gently pushed the door open to find Leo sitting on his bed, holding the small silver picture frame tightly against his chest.

Richard: Hey, chief... mind if I sit down?

Leo: Is Evelyn gone, Daddy?

Richard: Yes, buddy. She's gone for good. She will never hurt you again.
