The bright crystal chandeliers of the Grand Plaza Hotel illuminated the crowded ballroom, casting a golden glow over hundreds of wealthy guests. Soft jazz played from the orchestra stage, mixed with the ambient chatter of high-society figures enjoying the annual charity gala. Victoria adjusted the single strap of her dark black gown, her cold gaze scanning the room.
Victoria: I knew this family was corrupt, but tonight they crossed every line.
Samantha: Victoria, please be careful. Marcus and his mother control the entire security team here.
Victoria: They control nothing. They just don't know it yet.
Before Samantha could reply, a heavy hand slammed onto the marble cocktail table beside them. Marcus charged forward in his black tuxedo, his face flushed red with intense anger.
Marcus: Don't talk to mother like that!
Marcus raised his arm and lunged toward Victoria. But instead of catching her, his blow struck his own mother, Eleanor, who was standing right behind him. The old woman in her grey dress recoiled with a sharp gasp as the physical blow landed, sending her staggering back onto the carpeted floor.
Marcus: Look what you made me do, you crazy woman!
Victoria: You brought this on yourself, Marcus.
Victoria didn't hesitate. Pivoting smoothly on her heels, she delivered a powerful high kick directly into Marcus's chest. The sheer force sent him flying backward, crashing violently through a champagne table and collapsing onto the floor among shattered glass and groaning in pain.
Victoria stepped over the broken glass, her black dress slightly torn and visible facial and shoulder gashes bleeding lightly from the flying shards. She looked down at him with a cold, vengeful smirk, her voice ringing out through the stunned silence of the room.
Victoria: Tomorrow you'll be begging for my forgiveness.
She turned and walked away through the stunned crowd, her heels clicking loudly against the polished marble foyer toward the grand exit doors. Outside, a black luxury sedan waited at the curb. Victoria slid into the darkened leather back seat, slamming the heavy car door shut, and pulled out her smartphone with a firm, unwavering expression.
Victoria: Protect the servers, delete everything they own.
