The Mother-In-Law Called The Bride A Gold Digger At The Altar

The golden chandeliers of the luxury ballroom cast a warm glow across the white lace of Chloe's wedding dress. Hundreds of wealthy guests sat in silence as she held hands with her groom, Julian. Everything seemed like a dream until his mother, Evelyn, stepped right up to the altar with a bitter sneer on her face.

Evelyn: YOU ARE A GOLD DIGGER!

Chloe gasped as Evelyn's sharp voice echoed off the high marble walls, cutting through the quiet room like a knife.

Evelyn: Look at you, wearing lace bought with our family money. You think you belong in this family?

Chloe: Evelyn, please. This is our wedding day.

Evelyn: You don't deserve my son, and you certainly don't deserve the Vance family name!

Chloe's face contorted in sudden, uncontrollable rage. She took a swift step forward, her hand swinging back before landing a heavy, stinging slap directly across Evelyn's cheek.

A collective gasp rippled through the grand hall as the sharp impact echoed everywhere.

Evelyn: HOW DARE YOU SLAP ME!

Evelyn reeled back, clutching her reddened face in utter shock, her dark eyes wide with humiliation and anger.

Julian: NEVER TOUCH MY WIFE AGAIN!

Julian stepped between them in a fury, his eyes glaring straight into his mother's. Before anyone could react, he stepped forward and delivered another hard, loud slap to Evelyn's other cheek.

The powerful blow knocked the older woman off her feet, sending her stumbling back onto the hardwood floor.

Evelyn lay on the polished wood crying hysterically, holding her swollen face as tears streaked down her makeup.

Evelyn: MY GRANDMOTHER'S RING... WE BOUGHT YOU!

Julian stood over his crying mother, holding Chloe's hand firmly while his own eyes filled with angry, emotional tears.

Julian: I WAS BOUGHT?!

The silence in the ballroom was deafening as Julian gripped Chloe's trembling fingers, realizing his whole life had been built on a terrible, dark lie.
