Liam: Clara! Stop right now! Where are you going?!
Clara: Get your hands off me, Liam!
Liam: You just hit my mother in front of five hundred people! Are you insane?!
Clara: I told you to keep that woman away from me before we walked down this aisle!
Victoria: Liam... let her speak... please, don't let her leave!
Victoria sobbed hysterically, leaning her weight against her son's shoulder as two security guards rushed over to assist her.
Liam: Mother, sit down on the bench. You're hyperventilating.
Victoria: I don't care about my breathing, Liam! That mark on her shoulder... it's the exact same birthmark!
Clara: It is not a birthmark, you crazy old woman! It's a tattoo!
Victoria: No! I know what I saw! Twenty-two years ago, my baby girl was taken from the private hospital wing in Chicago!
Clara: I was born in an orphanage in Ohio! I don't have a mother, and I certainly don't have a mother like you!
The guests pulled out their phones, recording every second of the chaotic fight breaking out near the main glass entrance.
Guest 1: Is that really Victoria Vance's long-lost child?
Guest 2: She just slapped the most powerful matriarch in the city across the face!
Liam: Clara, calm down and talk to us rationally. If there's a chance you're my sister—
Clara: If I am your sister, Liam, then this wedding was a giant lie set up by your family from the very beginning!
Liam: What are you talking about?! I loved you! I proposed to you six months ago!
Clara: You proposed to me because your mother wanted access to my late father's land trust!
Victoria wiped her tear-soaked cheeks with a lace handkerchief, stepping back toward Clara with trembling hands.
Victoria: Clara, please listen to me. The hospital told me my baby died in the incubator... I spent millions looking for answers!
Clara: Save your fake tears, Victoria. You didn't want a baby. You wanted a male heir to take over Vance Enterprises!
Victoria: Who told you that lie?!
Clara: The private detective I hired three weeks ago when I realized why Liam was so eager to sign our prenuptial agreement!
Liam's face went completely pale under the bright chandeliers as the crowd leaned in closer to hear.
Liam: Clara, don't do this here. We can go into the private bridal suite and talk.
Clara: We have nothing left to talk about, Liam. The wedding is canceled.
Clara reached down, ripped off her long lace veil, and threw it directly onto the floor at Liam's feet.
Victoria: No! You can't just walk away from your family!
Clara: Watch me.
Clara turned her back on the entire ballroom, holding up the heavy train of her white gown as she strode toward the double exit doors.
Liam: Security! Block the front exit! Nobody leaves this building until we sort this out!
Clara: Touch me again, Liam, and the police will be reading your mother's old medical fraud files on the evening news.
