The Ruined Wedding Dress

Branded a Thief at the Wedding, She Called Her Secret Billionaire Father banner

Julian: Who are you calling? You don't have anyone.

Chloe: You think you know everything about me, don't you?

Evelyn: She's bluffing, Julian. Put her out in the rain where she belongs.

Julian: Put the phone down, Chloe. You're making yourself look crazy.

Chloe: Crazy? Your mother just shoved me down a flight of steps!

Victoria: You tripped! Everyone saw you trip because you couldn't handle wearing a real designer dress!

Chloe: You pushed me, Victoria. You wanted the diamond necklace for yourself.

Victoria adjusted her diamond earrings and looked down at Chloe with a smirk. Her gown was flawless, while Chloe was bleeding onto the white silk of her ruined dress.

Victoria: That necklace belongs to the bride of the Vance estate. That means it belongs to me.

Chloe: We were supposed to get married today, Julian. You swore to protect me.

Julian: My family comes first. You're just a girl with no history and no trust fund.

Evelyn: We gave you a roof over your head for two years! We let you live in our mansion like family!

Chloe: I worked as your assistant! I managed your estate accounts day and night without pay!

Evelyn: You were paid with our generosity!

Julian: Mom is right. You should be grateful we didn't throw you out sooner.

Chloe: He's on his way right now.

Julian: Who? Some cheap lawyer from the public defender's office?

Chloe: You really should have asked why I never talked about my real last name.

Victoria: Oh, please! Are we going to stand here and listen to this stray dog bark?

Evelyn: Guards! Throw her out into the courtyard immediately!

Two large security guards stepped forward, grabbing Chloe by her forearms. She winced as they pulled her upright.

Guard: Come on, miss. Don't make this harder than it needs to be.

Chloe: Take your hands off me!

Julian: Take her phone too. I don't want her posting lies on social media to damage our company stock.

Chloe: You care more about your stock price than the fact that your mother bruised my face?

Julian: My family's legacy is worth a million of you.

Chloe: Your family legacy is built on a mountain of debt, Julian. And you know it.

Evelyn: Silence her!

Before the guards could pull Chloe toward the exit, a deep rumble echoed through the grand foyer. The floor beneath their feet began to vibrate subtly.

Victoria: What is that noise?

Julian: Probably just the valet parking another guest's car.

Chloe: No. That's not a valet.

The sharp sound of heavy military boots clicked against the marble outside. Guests near the entrance turned around, whispering in confusion as shadow filled the doorway.
