Justice In The Hallway

An Arrogant Heiress Targeted A Quiet Girl Before Her Identity Was Uncovered banner

Mr. Sterling: You have forty-eight hours to clear your office furniture out of my building, Vance.

Mr. Vance: Mr. Sterling! I'm begging you! That building is the heart of my business! If we get evicted, my stock will collapse!

Mr. Sterling: You should have thought about your business before you let your daughter run around treating innocent people like garbage.

Chloe: Dad! Do something! Tell him he can't do this to us!

Mr. Vance: SHUT UP, CHLOE! THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT!

Mr. Vance turned on his own daughter in a fit of rage, his face beet-red with desperation.

Mr. Vance: You and your stupid arrogance! You just destroyed our entire family fortune over a lunch table!

Chloe: Dad... you're screaming at me...

Mr. Vance: Get on your knees and apologize to Maya right now!

Chloe: What?! On my knees?!

Mr. Vance: APOLOGIZE TO HER RIGHT NOW OR I WILL DISOWN YOU TODAY!

Chloe began to sob uncontrollably, her body trembling as she dropped to her knees on the office floor in front of Maya's sofa.

Chloe: Maya... I'm sorry... please forgive me... please don't ruin my dad's company...

Maya looked down at the girl who had slapped her an hour ago, her eyes calm and dignified.

Maya: I don't care about your money, Chloe. But I hope you learn that every person in this world deserves respect, no matter what clothes they wear.

Two city police officers stepped into the principal's office, holding a pair of handcuffs.

Police Officer: Principal Harrison? We received a report of physical battery on campus.

Principal Harrison: Officers, the suspect is Chloe Vance. The security footage is downloaded on this flash drive ready for your report.

Police Officer: Chloe Vance, stand up and put your hands behind your back.

Chloe: NO! Dad! Help me! Don't let them handcuff me!

Mr. Vance turned his back on his daughter, staring at the floor in complete ruin and despair as the officers clicked the cold steel handcuffs around Chloe's wrists.

Chloe was led out of the high school office, sobbing hysterically as students in the hallway watched her being taken away in complete disgrace.

Mr. Sterling turned back to Maya, holding her hand with a warm, loving smile.

Mr. Sterling: Come, my dear. Let's go home and get you rested up properly.

Ethan: Can I walk her to your car, Mr. Sterling?

Mr. Sterling: Of course, Ethan. Thank you for standing up for her when no one else did.

Maya smiled softly, holding Ethan's arm as they walked out of the office together into the bright, warm daylight.

The dark cloud of arrogance that had hung over the school was gone for good, replaced by the quiet triumph of truth, honor, and justice.
