The Fall of the Heiress

A Wealthy Woman Slapped Her Housekeeper Until An Old Man Saw A Photo banner

Victoria: You wouldn't dare destroy our family name in the press!

Arthur: You destroyed it yourself the second you slapped my niece across the face in my ballroom.

Elena: Mrs. Sterling... you can keep the clothes, the jewelry, and your social status. I don't care about any of that. But you will never slap me or anyone else in this house ever again.

Victoria: You quiet little snake! You planned this whole thing!

Arthur: Silence! Charles, call security. Have Victoria escorted to her guest quarters. She has twelve hours to pack her personal belongings and vacate this estate.

Victoria: Vacate?! This is my home!

Arthur: This home belongs to the Sterling trust. A trust you no longer have any access to.

Two large security guards stepped into the study doorway, their faces completely emotionless.

Guard 1: Mrs. Sterling, please step this way.

Victoria: Don't you dare lay a hand on me! I am the lady of this manor!

Guard 1: Not anymore, ma'am. Mr. Sterling's orders are absolute. Please move.

Victoria looked at Arthur, then at Elena, her chest heaving as she realized no amount of screaming or crying was going to save her.

She turned on her high heels, her head held high in a desperate attempt to keep her pride, and marched out of the study flanked by the two guards.

The heavy mahogany doors closed behind her with a deep, echoing thud.

The study went completely quiet. Arthur sank into his high-backed leather chair, letting out a long, heavy sigh as he wiped a tear from his eye.

Arthur: I failed my sister, Elena. I spent thirty-five years sitting in this grand house while she suffered in silence.

Elena: She never stopped loving you, Uncle Arthur. She talked about you every single night before she went to sleep.

Arthur: Did she... did she forgive me?

Elena: She never blamed you. She knew you had a good heart. She just wished she could have seen you one last time.

Arthur reached out, taking Elena's small, rough hand in his own weathered palm.

Arthur: I can't bring Rose back... but I swear on my life, I will make sure her daughter never suffers another day as long as I live.

Elena: Thank you, Uncle Arthur.

Arthur: Tomorrow morning, we are going to do a formal DNA test just to clear all legal hurdles. And then, we are going to announce your true place in this family to the entire world.

Lawyer: I will have the press release and the trust transfer documents ready by ten o'clock, Mr. Sterling.

Arthur: Good work, Charles. Now, if you'll excuse us, my niece and I have thirty-five years of family history to catch up on.
