Before Margaret could step back toward the front door, Evelyn raised her hands and shoved the elderly woman forcefully across the chest. In a dramatic medium-wide view, Margaret lost her balance, letting out a loud, terrifying scream as she tumbled backward down the dark wooden stairs. Heavy thuds echoed violently off the high ceilings with every impact until Margaret hit the hard marble floor at the base of the staircase, her body coming to a complete, motionless rest. Seconds later, the double entrance doors slammed open as Daniel, Margaret's son, stepped into the hall.
