Pregnant Heiress Brutally Assaulted At Grand Museum Gala By Conspiring Relatives

The air inside the grand museum lobby felt suffocating, thick with the scent of old polish and expensive perfume. Elena stood near the base of the towering marble staircase, clutching a sealed brown packet to her chest with both hands. Her breathing was shallow, and every movement sent a sharp, painful reminder of the stress she had been under for months. She was pregnant, exhausted, and completely cornered by the very people who were supposed to protect her.

Elena: Please just leave me alone. I'm warning you.

Victoria: Give me the packet!

Elena: No!

Victoria's face twisted into an ugly snarl as she lunged forward, her manicured fingers clawing at the thick paper envelope. Elena tried to twist away, but Victoria caught her by the shoulder and whipped her around with shocking force. A sharp, stinging slap echoed off the marble pillars, followed immediately by a violent shove that sent Elena crashing down hard onto the cold stone floor.

Elena: Ah! My baby...

Victoria: Stop being so dramatic and hand it over before I break something else.

Elena squeezed her eyes shut, gasping for air as a dull ache radiated through her lower back. Footsteps echoed heavily across the lobby as Julian strode into view, his tailored tuxedo immaculate and his expression frozen in cold disdain. He didn't offer a hand to help his wife off the floor; instead, he looked down at her with pure disgust.

Julian: Finish her before my mother sees this!

Elena: Julian, how can you do this? This is our family's legacy.

Julian: You're destroying our family with these stolen papers. Get up and give them to Victoria.

Victoria laughed, a smug, triumphant sound that bounced off the vaulted ceiling as she stood over Elena's trembling form. The museum security guards stood frozen a few yards away, too terrified of Julian's wealth and influence to intervene. Elena pressed her palms against the cold marble, her vision blurring slightly from the pain and shock as she realized she was entirely on her own.

Elena: You both think you've won, don't you?

Victoria: We already have. This trust fund belongs to us now.

Victoria raised her hand high into the air, her fingers curled into a tight claw ready to strike the pregnant woman once again. A low, tense orchestral swell vibrated through the grand hall as everyone held their breath. But before the blow could land, a sharp, authoritative voice cut through the silence from the top of the grand staircase, stopping time itself.

Eleanor: I wouldn't finish that sentence if I were you.
