The Hospital Hallway Confrontation

Her In-Laws Tried to Evict Her Until the Chief of Surgery Stepped In banner

Julian: Dr. Harrison... there must be some kind of misunderstanding here.

Dr. Harrison: There is no misunderstanding, Julian. You are standing in my hospital, harassing my pregnant daughter.

Victoria: Your daughter?! But Maya told us her parents were gone!

Maya: I said my mother passed away when I was little, Victoria. I never said I was alone.

Victoria: This is ridiculous! She lived in a tiny apartment when Julian met her!

Dr. Harrison: My daughter wanted to earn her own way in life without living off my name or my wealth.

Julian: Maya... why didn't you tell me your father is Chief of Surgery and owner of Harrison Medical Group?

Maya: Because I wanted a husband who loved me for who I was, Julian. Not for my father's trust fund.

Maya's hands stopped shaking as she looked at the two people who had made her life miserable for months.

Victoria: Dr. Harrison, please, let's discuss this in private. We are civilized people!

Dr. Harrison: Civilized? I watched you scream at a pregnant woman in a wheelchair, Victoria.

Victoria: I was just trying to protect my son's financial interests!

Dr. Harrison: By threatening a mother and her unborn baby?

Julian took a step back, wiping a bead of cold sweat from his forehead as he looked at Dr. Harrison's name badge.

Julian: Dr. Harrison, I swear I didn't know... I thought she had no family support!

Maya: You thought I was weak, Julian. You thought I would sign whatever paper you put in front of me.

Julian: Maya, please, let me explain! Mother was pushing me to file those divorce papers!

Victoria: Don't you dare blame this on me, Julian! You wanted the prenup enforced!

Maya: You both showed your true colors the moment I got pregnant and stopped working at the firm.

Dr. Harrison stepped between Julian and the wheelchair, his presence towering over the younger man.

Dr. Harrison: Security is already on their way up to this floor, Julian.

Julian: Dr. Harrison, wait! Our family business has a major contract with your hospital network!

Dr. Harrison: That contract was canceled ten minutes ago when I saw the security camera feed from this hallway.

Victoria let out a sharp gasp, clutching her designer leather handbag against her chest.

Victoria: Canceled?! That medical equipment supply deal is worth twenty million dollars!

Dr. Harrison: Then you better start looking for new buyers, because Harrison Medical Group is finished with you.

Julian: You can't do that! That contract keeps our company afloat!

Dr. Harrison: I can, and I just did. Now get away from my daughter.

Two tall hospital security officers in dark uniforms marched down the hallway, stepping up behind Victoria and Julian.

Security Guard: Sir, ma'am, you need to step away from the patient immediately and follow us to the exit.

Victoria: Do you know who I am?! I am Victoria Vance!

Security Guard: I don't care who you are, ma'am. Dr. Harrison owns this facility. Walk toward the elevators now.

Julian stared at Maya with desperation in his eyes, but she simply turned her face away toward her father.

Julian: Maya, please! Call me later! We need to talk about the baby!

Maya: Any conversation about my baby will happen through my father's legal team, Julian.

The security guards escorted Victoria and Julian down the hall, their loud arguments fading as the elevator doors slid shut.
