Marcus: Gentlemen of the board, look at me! I have managed your portfolios for five years!

Board Member 2: You managed our portfolios while hiding a two-million-dollar default, Marcus!

Board Member 1: I move to immediately revoke Marcus Vance's voting privileges and terminate his employment as CEO.

Board Member 3: I second the motion!

Board Member 2: All in favor, raise your hands.

All six board members raised their hands high in the air without a single second of hesitation.

Julian backed away toward the floor-to-ceiling windows, looking around the room in complete panic.

Julian: You can't just fire my dad! We own thirty percent of the stock!

Mark: You don't own anything, Julian. The court frozen all stock transfers connected to Marcus's name thirty minutes ago.

The two financial crime investigators stepped forward from the back wall, pulling pair of steel handcuffs from their coats.

Investigator Holt: Marcus Vance, you are under arrest for grand larceny, corporate wire fraud, and falsification of financial records.

Marcus: Get your hands off me! Do you know who my lawyers are?!

Investigator Holt: Turn around and put your hands behind your back, sir.

Marcus offered no physical resistance as the steel cuffs clicked tightly around his wrists, his face turning a deep, humiliated shade of purple.

Julian took a step toward his father, but Officer Davis blocked his path.

Julian: Aunt Rachel, please! Talk to them! We're family!

Rachel stepped closer to her nephew, looking him straight in the eye with cold, steady confidence.

Rachel: "In the real world, actions have consequences." Isn't that what you told my sister yesterday?

Julian lowered his head, unable to meet her gaze as tears of anger and humiliation welled up in his eyes.

Amanda: And don't ever set foot near my daughter again, Julian.

The investigators escorted Marcus out of the executive boardroom, his polished shoes dragging loudly across the marble lobby outside.

Julian grabbed his leather jacket from the chair, rushing out the back service exit before the remaining staff members could see him crying.

Rachel walked to the head of the long glass table, pulling out the main executive leather chair that had belonged to her father for thirty years.

She sat down calmly, opening her black binder in front of the silent board members.

Rachel: Gentlemen, let's discuss the immediate audit and restoration of Vance Enterprises.
