Marcus: Trapping me? She didn't even come to me for a single penny of child support!

Lucia: I didn't know he was coming! I asked for the night shift so I could earn double pay for my doctor bills!

Marcus stood up quickly, his hands clenching into tight fists at his sides.
Marcus: My mother did what?
Lucia: The settlement money you promised me... I never received a single dollar of it.
Marcus: I signed a wire transfer for two million dollars the day after our divorce!
Lucia: Your mother came to my apartment with her lawyers three days later. She told me if I took the money, she would sue my family and ruin my sister's business.

Marcus reached into his jacket, pulled out his phone, and dialed his corporate attorney on speed dial.
David: Hello, Marcus. Is the merger dinner going well?
Marcus: David, cancel the engagement contract with the Vance family immediately.
David: What? Marcus, we are twenty minutes away from signing the partnership deal!
Marcus: Cancel it! Freeze every single supplementary account assigned to Victoria Vance right now!
Victoria: Marcus, no! You can't do that! My family's company needs that capital!
Marcus: You should have thought about your family's company before you helped my mother steal from my child.
Victoria: You monster! You are destroying my life over a servant!
