Arrogant Hotel Manager Brutally Assaults Guest In Grand Lobby banner

Officer Miller: Arthur Vance, you are under arrest for grand larceny, corporate fraud, and physical assault.

Arthur: No! No, wait! Let me explain to the officers! She framed me!

Officer Miller: Save it for the courtroom, Vance. Turn around and put your hands behind your back.

The officers grabbed Arthur by the arms, wrenching him away from the reception desk. Arthur twisted violently, his face contorting into an expression of absolute horror and disbelief as the cold steel of the handcuffs snapped onto his wrists with a sharp, final click. He thrashed like a trapped animal, his eyes wide and bloodshot as he realized there was no escape from the trap he had dug for himself.

Arthur: You can't do this to me! I built this place! I made it what it is!

Clara: You leeched off it. And now, the parasite is being removed.

Arthur: I hope you rot! I hope this hotel burns to the ground without me!

Security Head: Shut your trap, Vance.

The security guards assisted the police officers in dragging Arthur toward the front exit. His heels dragged uselessly across the pristine marble floor, leaving scuff marks that would soon be scrubbed away. The guests watched in stunned silence as the former master of the lobby was hauled out like a common criminal into the flashing red and blue lights of the police cruisers waiting outside.

Clara: Make sure his desk is completely cleared out by noon, Marcus. I don't want a single trace of him left in this building.

Security Head: Already handled, Miss Mercer. Our cleaning crew is sanitizing his office as we speak.

Clara: Good. Call an emergency meeting with all department heads for three o'clock. It's time we restore the proper culture to this establishment.

Security Head: Yes, ma'am. Right away.

Clara watched through the clear glass doors as Arthur was shoved unceremoniously into the back of a police cruiser. The heavy door slammed shut, cutting off his muffled screams from the inside. She reached up and lightly touched the small cut on her lip, feeling a strange sense of closure wash over her spirit. The hotel that her father had poured his life into was finally safe again, rescued from the hands of a tyrant.

She turned around to face the frightened front desk staff, who were standing frozen behind the mahogany counter, terrified that they would be next on the chopping block. Clara offered them a warm, reassuring smile, stepping forward to bridge the terrifying gap that Arthur had created between management and staff.

Clara: You're all safe now. Take a deep breath.

Front Desk Clerk: Are... are we going to lose our jobs too, Miss Mercer?

Clara: Only if you want to. But I'd rather you stayed and helped me rebuild this place from the ground up.

A collective sigh of relief rippled through the front desk team, several employees wiping tears of gratitude from their eyes. Clara picked up her scattered folders from the marble floor, organizing the audit papers with steady, capable hands. The dark chapter of Arthur's reign was officially closed, and a bright new dawn was rising over the grand hotel.
